SCHOOL RULES FOR STUDENTS


Observance of the following is compulsory for all students and deviations will lead to disciplinary action:
Every student must carry this Almanac to school every day and use it productively.
90% attendance is mandatory for appearing in the end of term examinations. The school will not be responsible if your ward is unaware of the happenings in the school on the day of her absence.
The student has to appear and clear the qualifying examination/ final assessment to be promoted to the next higher class.
Uniform with ID card is compulsory during school hours and for all school functions including all such instances where students are representing the school outside.
It is mandatory for all students, unless instructed otherwise, to be present for festivals and functions celebrated in and outside the school. The students should participate in all school activities without fail.
The students should strictly adhere to the dress code of Bishop Scott.
Students are not allowed to wear rings, ornaments, bangles and bracelets to the school campus. No student is allowed to apply nail polish /tattoos/gel/mehandi or dye the hair. Only brown/black belt watches are allowed.
Students are advised to reach the premises at least 15 minutes before the morning assembly. The school gate will be closed 5 minutes before the school time. Disciplinary action will be taken against habitual late comers. On each occurrence of reporting late to school, entries will be done in the record of ‘Late Coming’ section in almanac and will be initialed by admin staff.
Students are prohibited from bringing any publication, reference books, CDs or other storage devices like floppies, pen drives, i-pods, i-pads or Tablets, not relevant to academic pursuits. Violation may result in suspension and/or levying of heavy fine. Bringing mobile phones, cameras, and expensive things etc., to school is strictly forbidden. Such items will be confiscated. Heavy fine will be levied on those students and strict action will be taken.
Students are not allowed to celebrate their birthdays or any other occasion in school working hours.
Exploding crackers on any occasion or splashing colours during Holi in the school premises or in the school bus is strictly forbidden. Strict action will be taken against the students who deviate from this rule.
Indulging in malpractices of any sort outside or inside the school campus (punishable/offensive), disrupting the reputation of the school will lead to the termination of the child from the school.
Any student involved in any kind of theft will be liable to the extent of expulsion from the school, if proved.
Any case related to indiscipline or misbehaviour of the child, the decision of the management will be final and binding.
The school reserves the right to suspend or take strict disciplinary action against a student whose conduct is harmful to other students or a student who tries to harm herself because of personal problem or mental stress.
Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instrument such as knives etc. or any kind of object that can cause injury to others. Students bringing any objectionable thing will lead to suspension/expulsion from the school.
Damaging/ tampering or disfiguring any school property will result in suspension/expulsion from school in addition to levy of heavy fine.
Students are strictly prohibited from commuting to school by self-driven two or four wheelers .Any violation of this rule will result in strict disciplinary action.
Birthdays: On birthdays, students are not allowed to come in their casual dress except students from std 1 to 5. Except toffees no eatables are allowed in the school premises on such occasions. Wearing ID card is mandatory even with casual dress.
Strict disciplinary action will be taken against students indulging in ragging.
Children should not criticize or comment on their peers, seniors, teachers or school management on social sites. Personal grievances should not be posted.
Note : The Principal would be fully empowered to use her discretion in imposing decision of any sort. Her decision would not be open to questioning.
