Inter House Song & Choral Recitation Competition
Inter House Song Competition,Choral Recitation Competition and Competition between Choirs were organized forgrade 6 to 8
students on 10.8.2019.The children sang the songs with lot of passion and confidence.The Knowledge House was the winner of
Choral Recitation; they recited "Visitor" by Ian Serraillier.This was followed by Inter House Song Competition.
The houses sang songs of Boney-M.Confidence House won the Song Competition.Then there was Competition between Choirs.All
choirs sang S.O.S by Abba and competed with each other.This was won by Confidence House. Vagisha Variyar of grade 8A of
Confidence House won the solo round.
Fancy Dress Competition
Students of grade 1 participated in Fancy Dress Copetition on Friday, 9th August 2019 . The theme was Animal Kingdom.
Standing on stage , holding Mike and talking in front of the audience was a memorable experience for them. They did really well. Principal Ms Lindsy Dayalkumar gave away the prizes and motivated everyone by giving sweets. This was followed by Class Party, where the students enjoyed dancing and food.

12 students of BSGS participated in Eco Art Contest 2019 organized at Shri Krishna Science Centre on 24th July 2019.It was on Environment in collaboration with South Asian Forum for Environment.

Students of grade 12 threw Fresher's Party, the Garden of BSGS to welcome grade 11 students on Saturday,13 July 2019. The entire hall was filled with laughter and dance.The students participated in Fashion Show and Ayushi Ranjan of grade 11 was chosen as Ms Fresher.There was a talent show for grade 11 and Navya Nandini of grade 11 B won the first position.Students of grade 12 presented the cultural event,which was enjoyed by everyone. The students enjoyed sumptuous food and burnt their energy on the DJ floor.

Archi of grade 4 won gold medal in District Taekwondo Championship in Junior Category and Tanisha Lall, Ishita Lall, and Jhanvi Lall won Gold Medal in Senior Category held at Patliputra Sports Complex. 18 teams participated.
Excursion to water Park
Our school organised a Fun Trip to Fantasia Water Park on Wednesday 8th May, 2019.
Around 300 students of classes IX, X, XI and XII were accompanied by their teachers.
It was a day of abundant fun and enjoyment for our students.
Beating the scorching heat, the children were seen enjoying the swimming in wave pool, enjoying the rain dance and screaming in delight as they were sliding from the tall rides.
For once academics and pressure of studies were forgotten as each and every Moments spent in sheer pleasure.
The children enjoyed the delicacies from the cafeteria and rejoiced the picnic.The students adhered to the discipline code and instructions given to them.
The school feels that such fun filled days were needed to energize the students so that they can deal with the pressure of studies.
The students thanked the Management. Principal and the teachers for this fun filled day.

Congratulations! 25 of our students participated in Athletic meet organized at Patliputra Sports Complex, Kankarbagh, wherein about 550 students participated in various events and categories. In 400m under 16, 2nd and 3rd position were won by Sneha Verma and Sakshi Satyanarayan of class 9th.Komal won 3rd prize in Discuss Through,Khushi Shambhavi won 3rd prize in Long Jump in under 14th category. We won runner up trophy under 16 category also it is our pride that we won Best Discipline Award as well.
Orientation Programme for Grade 1 Parents
The school organised Orientation for Grade 1 Parents on 26th April 2019 in School Auditorium at 8:30 a.m.
The auditorium was full with parents and teachers. The Principal, Ms. Lindsy Dayalkumar talked about Positive Discipline.
This was followed by the Presentation by grade 1 teachers, Ms Sunny on rules and regulation and Ms. Shilpee on Examination and Promotions.

Bishop Scott Girls'School organised Celebrity Interaction with Dr. C. Rangarajan,who is an Indian economist, a former Member of Parliament and 19th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India.He is the former Chairman of the Prime Ministers Economic Advisory Council.He is the recipient of PadmaVibhushan in 2002.
This programme was witnessed by Commerce Students of Grade 11 & 12, Teachers & the Principal, Ms. Lindsy Dayalkumar.
The students did a lot of reference work assisted by the parents and teachers. The students raised many useful questions and gained knowledge through the replies given by Dr. C. Rangarajan. He also motivated the students and gave message for them. His message to Bishop Scott Girls’ School students is — Get the best out of the school/college. Read well, study well and perform well. If you do this, you will get the responsible position in society. Contribute to society, not only for yourself. Remember what you owe to the society and community. We need to enjoy and cherish the unity in diversity. It was a memorable experience for the students to interact with Dr. C. Rangarajan and getting inspiration. This was a new learning experience for everyone. Principal Ms Lindsy Dayalkumar said that these kind of interactions create awareness.
BSGS organised its 2nd BSGS MUN on 26th and 27th April 2019. 60 students from grade 7 to 12 participated in MUN and competed for their house. The programme was designed to provide plethora of opportunities to the young minds to cultivate and nourish in genuinity. The students participated in simulation of UN sessions, debating, negotiating, concusing, drafting and voting on resolutions that address global issues.
The students represented China, Pak, U.S.A., U.K., South Africa, Israel, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Russia, Japan, Libya, Zimbabwe, Jordan etc. Each student participated in two committees UNHRC AND UNGA. The agenda of UNHRC-Human Trafficking, The UNGA-safe drinking water. The executive board of UNHRC- MR. Anshu Kumar and Saumya Sinha, 12C. The executive board of UNGA- Miss Simmi Devyani and Miss Sanjana Agarwal, batch 2018. The students did a lot of reference work under the guidance of DR. Navlika Sinha, senior teacher and submitted working paper, which was a learning experience for them. It was nice to see the students debating on world issues and putting their points across. Individual country Awards were announced and the Principal Ms Lindsy Dayal Kumar gave away the prizes. Principal thanked Mr. Anshu kumar for his valuable contribution.
Investiture Ceremony 2019
Bishop Scott Girls' School organized its Investiture Ceremony of its newly elected Student Council on Friday, 26th April 2019 at 7:30 am in the School premises.Col S.B. Singh, Dy GP CDR, CAO, NCC Group Headquarters, Patna was the Chief Guest on this solemn occasion.The Managing Committee members, the Principal along with staff, parents and students witnessed the ceremony.
The auspicious ceremony began with a PlantationCeremony with the background song 'Plant a tree for your tomorrow' by John Denver.
The Principal Ms Lindsy Dayalkumar welcomed the guests and addressed the students. She said that the students of today are the torch bearers of tomorrow and the School is providing the platform to mould their leadership quality.
The Chief Guest and the Managing Committee members handed over the badges, sashes and flags to the new office bearers of the Student Council and addressed the gathering. It was a proud moment for the students, teachers and the parents.

Annual Prize Distribution
Bishop Scott Girls' School organised its Annual Prize Distribution for session 2018-19 on Wednesday, 10 April 2019 at 7.00 am in the School Assembly Area.
The programme started with Devotions which was followed by a welcome note from the Principal, Mrs Lindsy Dayal Kumar.
The school felicitated the class toppers, subject toppers, the students who got centum in subjects and cent percent attendance. Special awards for Sports, Dance, Art, Music, Creative Writing and Best Council Member were also given. Honours Badge and Cash Award were given to the Students who stood first for two consecutive years. Rolling Trophies were awarded to the Best House in Academics and Activities. Blue House won the Best House Rolling Trophy. Simmi Devyani of 12 C received the Student of the Year.
The Managing Committee members gave away the prizes to the winners. They also addressed the gathering and blessed the students.

Bishop Scott Girls' School organised its first BSGSMUN in its premises.
The program was held for two days. It was attended by 100 students.
The program was designed to provide plethora of opportunities to the young minds to cultivate and nourish ingenuity. At Model UN, students participated in simulations of UN sessions, debating, negotiating, caucusing, drafting & voting on resolutions that address world problems.
The students represented China, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, China, Mexico, Afghanistan, South Korea etc. Each student participated in one of three committees UNHRC, UNSC and Loksabha.
The agenda of Lok Sabha-Electoral Reforms in Wake of Rapid Migration, Urbanization And Digitalization.
The UNHRC -Protecting Human Rights of Rohingya in Myanmar.
The UNSC -Stabilizing and Reconstructing Conflict Areas of Syria, Iraq & Afghanistan in Wake of US Troops Withdrawal.

Filled with curiosity and zeal, the students of grdae XI gathered to bid farewell to the students of grade XII, Batch-2018 on Saturday, 2nd February 2019. The theme was Reminiscence. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers and to reminisce joyous moments.
The programme had two sections- Cultural and Formal Programmes. The cultural programme showcased the multiple talents of grade XI students. The dance, music, skit and games were mesmerizing and filled every heart with varied emotions. The students enjoyed the DJ session and burnt their energy. They relished the sumptuous lunch and hospitality of their juniors.
The Formal Programme was attended by the School Managing Committee Members, parents of the outgoing batch, teachers and well- wishers. The Managing Committee members Mr Shailesh Prasad Singh,Mr Abhishek Kumar Singh ,Mr Achyut Singh and Mrs Nutan Singh addressed the gathering and blessed the students. Ms Lindsy Dayalkumar, Principal addressed and stressed the importance of hard work. Mr Ravi Rohatgi, Mr Deepak Raj and Ms Moushmi Sanyal, the class teachers of the outgoing batch also addressed the gathering. Parents Dr Syed Nehal Ahmad and Mr S.P. Gupta also shared their experience. The outgoing Student Council handed over the Baton to the Principal Ms Lndsy Dayalkumar.

Bishop Scott Girls' School organised picnic for students of grade 6 to 8 to Rajgir. The students enjoyed the day. It was a nice experience for every student.

10 students from grade 9 to 11 participated in IIMUN conducted by Radiant International School on 14th and 15th December 2018. Muskan of grade 11 won the Best Speaker award and made us proud. Also we have won the Best Delegation IIMUN Chapter 2018-19 award. Delegation consisted Muskan of grade 11, Dayalata of grade 9, Soumya of grade 11, Khushi of grade 11 and Shravani of grade 9.

Sneha Verma of grade 8 won gold in K.I.I.T University, Odisha - U14 Sub-Junior National Sepaktakraw Championship.
She is selected for Asian Sub Junior Sepaktaraw Championship ,which will be held at Maharashtra.
Picnic and field trip for students of grade 1 to 5
Bishop Scott Girls' School organised picnic and field trip for students of grade 1 to 5 to various spots. Grade 1 to 3 had been to Eco Park, Grade 4 enjoyed Planetarium and grade 5 had been to Science Centre. The students enjoyed the day. It was a learning experience for every student.
The student body of grade 12th had organised a "Spooktacular" party for the students of grade 11th and 12th on 1st December 2018 in Bishop Scott girls' school. The theme of the event was "Spooky". All the girls were dressed according to the theme as they based their dressing on some or the other horror character. The event begun with the school management cutting the cake which was also based on the theme. The food and refreshments were all prepared by the students. The main attraction of the day was the "Ghost Parade" at the end of which the title of "MISS SPOOKY" was given to Saumya of grade 11th. The day ended with the girls dancing to the tunes of their favourite songs and returning to their homes in a jubilant mood.
Trip to Kolkata-Sundarban
Bishop Scott Girls' School organised 2 Night - 3 Day Trip to Kolkata-Sunderbans from 22nd to 26th November 2018. The students and teachers enjoyed the Boat Ride to the island of Gosaba . For many students that was their first experience, where they did bird watching with binoculars and looking for Kingfisher, Egret, Brahmani eagles, Pond heron, Black cormorants etc, and above all they got introduced to the lovely mangroves, with surreal creatures like fiddler crabs, mud skipper fish etc.
They enjoyed the togetherness especially during bonfire, where they enjoyed dance and food. They visited three watch towers, namely Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhali and Dobanki. The trip covered This Covers Sajnekhali Tiger Project, Crocodile Project, Turtle Project, Mangroove Interpretation Center, Bono Bibi Temple, Sudhan yakhali Watch Tower, Dobanki Watch Tower, Canopy walk, Pirkhali, Gazikhali & other narrow Creeks, Pancha Mukhani (Five river confluence)
At last they did shopping and returned back with cherishing memories of togetherness.
Workshop on Smart Electronics
In an attempt to make students more competent and updated with technology, Bishop Scott Girl's School, a premiere school of Patna, organised "Smart Electronics Workshop" in school campus, in collaboration with SCIENCE PLACE, a premiere S.T.E.M (Science,Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) institute, affiliated to MHRD, New Delhi.
The students had a great opportunity to work in-hand with some of the digital electronics components like Transistor, Integrated Circuit, Diode, L.D.R, microprocessor and L.E.D and how to design circuit using these elements which find their uses in almost all appliances of modern world and whose effects are felt in digital revolution of today.
Annual Day-Beats 2018
Bapu Sabhagar reverberated with the joyous sound of children , teachers and parents on 3rd November,2018. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Shri. Kumar Ravi, DM, Patna . The Guests of Honour was Shri Jagadish Barman, RO, CBSE.
Along with Mr Shailesh Prasad Singh, Chairman, Bishop Scott Girls’ School; Mr Abhishek Kumar Singh ,Chairman, Bishop Scott Boys’ School; Achyut Singh , Director Finance, Bishop Scott Group of Schools; Ms Nutan Singh, Director ,PR & Admin, Bishop Scott Group of Schools and Ms Lindsy Dayalkumar, Principal of Bishop Scott Girls School; Members of the Managing Committee and Principal of many other schools of Patna were also present as special guests. The programme started by felicitation the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and other dignitaries.
It was nice to see the students perform with energy and enthusiasm. Principal Ms Lindsy Dayalkumar informed with pride that about 800 students participated in the programme and the choreography for all dances was done by the students themselves.
The imaginary characters of ‘Smurf’ came alive on stage by a beautiful performance of grade 3. In Block Dance, it was stunning to see students performing acrobatic steps on big blocks. In Puppet Dance, puppets came alive and danced making different formations, In Musicals by grade 4 it was nice to see students exhibiting both music and dancing skills. It was new to audience to witness students dancing with walls, which were moving. Mickey Mickey by grade1, Comic Dance by grade 2 and Dance with Clapping by grade 5 enthralled the audience. Thousand Hand Guan Yin from Thailand was well appreciated by the audience.
One famous dance drama of Rabindra Nath Tagore ‘Taasher Desh’ was performed beautifully. There were many dances which were performed in darkness. These were really spectacular and the dexterity with which the students used LED lights actually kept the audience spell – bound and awe – struck.
Audience were taken aback with the talents of students especially displayed in Shadow Dance with theme Heal the World. Same way the Optical Illusion Dance was appreciated by one and all.
The Sand Art based on ‘Heal the World’ was astounding, Tanisha Agarwal of class XII – C showed her talent to everyone.
Yes, Bishop Scott Girls’ School showcased such programme, which was done for the first time in Patna.
The Chief Guest of the evening, Shri Kumar Ravi, IAS DM, Patna lauded the effort of the Principal, teachers, and students. The Guest of Honour, Shri Jagdish Barman, RO, CBSE Bihar appreciated the school and congratulated the students for their stupendous performance.
The school Principal Mrs. Lindsy Daylkumar in her Annual Report recapitulated the events of 2017-18 and highlighted the achievements of students in all spheres. She said that such a spectacular show was possible because of a strong team of the school.
The programme ended with the vote of Thanks by the Head Girl and a Grand Finale in which all the participants swayed on the song ‘Heal the world’ and took pledge to HEAL THE WORLD for the benefit of the future generation.
Winner of Wiz National Spell Bee
Khushi Kashyap of grade 8B participated in Wiz National Spell Bee State Level grand finale in Mount Carmel high school. Many of the schools participated. She won gold medal and selected for the national level of Wiz National Spell Bee. National level competition will be held in Kolkata.
Basketball National Championship
Harshita Raj of class IX B got selected for the basketball National Team She won State Level Championship under 16 held in Bhagalpur.
Inter Club Taekwondo Championship
Rishita of grade 9,Tanisha if grade 10,Janvi of grade 6 and Ritika of grade 3 participated in Inter Club Taekwondo Championship 2018-19 held at Mangal Talab , Hiteshi Library,Patna City and made us proud by winning gold. About 25 schools participated.

Hindi Debate Competition
Bishop Scott Girls' School under the aegis of Sri Jagannath Sita Educational & Development Sansthan organised Inter house Hindi Debate Competition for grade 9 to 10. First, all students of grade 9 & 10 were given an equal opportunity and they participated in Audition Round. The chosen students represented their House with full zeal in the Competition. Ms. Shashi Kala conducted the Competition in a very interactive way.
It was nice to see the participants putting across their views on the topic "Should mobile phones be allowed in school premises". Audience also participated enthusiastically and posed questions to the participants.
Sameeksha Kumari,Yellow House was awarded the Best Speaker For the Motion.
Manyyaa Kumar,Blue House was awarded the Best Speaker Against the Motion.

Collage making for grade 1 and 2
Students of grade 1 and 2 were thrilled to hear that they will participate in Collage Making competition. The school organised the event on 18.8.2018 in the School Assembly Areal. It was nice to see the characters from cartoon, fairy tales and other comic books coming alive through their work. They learnt the art of team work and social skills.
Inter House Quiz Competition grade 3 to 5
The Quiz Competition for grade 3 to 5 was conducted on 18.8.2018 in the School Auditorium. The participants were chosen after the Preliminary Round, where each and every student of grade 3 to participated and the top 3 best performers from each house were selected for participating in the final round.
It was witnessed by the teachers and students of grade 4 and 5.
The Quiz was conducted by grade 12 students who built in the momentum as they posed the questions to the participants. For the students of grade 3 to 5 , it was their first time experience. They participated with enthusiasm and zeal especially audio visual round.
It was nice to see the audience also trying the answers and getting chocolates.
Finally Blue House emerged as winners. First Runner up House was Green .

Independence Day Celebrations
On 15th August 2018 the school celebrated Independence Day by hoisting the National flag at 7.45am in the school assembly area. Students cheered and greeted the CM of Bihar on his way to a nearby organisation.
Bishop Scott Girls' School under the aegis of Sri Jagannath Sita Educational and Social Development Sansthan organised Panel Discussion on Saturday, 11th August 2018 in the school premises. The topic for the discussion was "Combating Terrorism for a Safe Future".The students from grade IX to XII participated and put their views across.
The students representing various segments of society and representatives from different countries put forth their point of view and made the discussion lively and meaningful. The panel concluded that all countries share intelligence inputs, leverage technology innovation to improve internal security for a safe and secured future.

BSGS organised an extended stay-Razzmatazz for grade 8 students on 11.8.2018.Such programmes help the students in developing their social skills.The students stayed back after their working hours and enjoyed the evening with their friends and teachers. The students thoroughly enjoyed the games, DJ , movie and snacks.

Mr Ravi Rohatgi, PGT Chemistry attended the CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Remodeled Structure of assessment on 31.7.2018 conducted by the CBSE , Centre of Excellence, Regional Office , Patna at Bishop Scott Senior Secondary Girl's School , Patna . It was really beneficial.
Inter School Chess Championship
BSGS participated in Inter School Chess Championship held at Delhi Public World School from 3rd to 6th August 2018. About 300 participants from 30 schools participated . Shreya in U 10 category and Khushi in U14 category won 3rd positions.
Our school organised Night Out "Pyjama Party" for grade IX & X in school premises. The children packed all their basic things for night out and reported at 6:00 pm on 4.8.2018. The children were warmly welcomed by the Principal and their teachers. The evening started with team games. A variety of games were organised to entertain the children. They enjoyed the DJ and also the cultural performance by their teachers. They had sumptuous dinner. They watched their most favourite movies with their friends. On next morning children woke up with a wake up song. The students enjoyed their breakfast with their teachers and friends. All the Parents thanked the school administration and the teachers for organising such an event to develop social skills.
Interaction with visitors from abroad
A team of visitors from different countries visited the school on 31.7.2018. The team included Mr Zevi Aber ,Global Business Head ,Burlington Group of Companies from the US, Jonathan Diesendruck, from Netherlands, Mr Nanda Kishore Utpala from Middle East . The students sang 'Ten Thousand Reasons' and the programme began with devotions. The guests addressed the gathering which was followed by the interaction with the students. The programme ended with the National Anthem and School Clap.

Moon Landing Day Programme
Bishop Scott Girl's School participated in Moon Landing day Programme held at Shri Krishna Science Centre.
It was a very informative and practical session and very excellently delivered. The team was escorted by Ms. Stuti Sinha, where students learnt a lot about the relevant topics concerning space tool and Technology. It was a very good mixture of theory and practical. It involved:

Bishop Scott Girl's School organised a session on Sex Education on Friday, 20th July 2018 . Dr Richa Mishra Pandey , a reputed laproscopicand gynocology
specialist from Paras HMRI, Patna enlightened the students on hygiene, good touch , bad touch and precautions. She also briefed the students about POSCO. It
was a fruitful session.
Inter House Singing Competition
Bishop Scott Girl's School arranged for an Inter House Singing Competition on 20.7.2018. All four houses were lined up in the assembly area. The songs were
chosen from famous songs of ABBA. There were three categories - group song , solo and choir .
In group song Green House won The First Position and Blue
House won the Second Position.
In Solo Green House won the First Position and both Yellow and Red Houses won the Second Position.
In Choir competition,Green House won the First Position and Red House won the Second Position.
Overall Green House won the trophy and First Runner up is Yellow House.

Bishop Scott Girls' School organised Career Counselling and Guidance for students of grade 9 to 12. The counselling was done by Young Buzz, India's Premier Career Guidance Company. This unique Career Guidance program involves two steps.
First, all students participated in online Career Assessment Test -Aptitude-Interest-Personality Test. This online AIP Test will help students to understand their Aptitude, Interest, and Personality. The Students received a customized career counselling report which gives them their top 3 career recommendations. Students also received a detailed report of their top interest clusters, detailed report of their top aptitudes and how to strengthen the aptitudes that may need strengthening and a detailed report of their personality traits and how it is applicable in the work life.
In second stage, each student and her parents had Individual Counselling. This went for five days. The counsellor created an individual road map for each career option of the students. The students will be given information about various entrance exams and their dates, admission procedure, information about various colleges and institutes, job prospects, salary prospects, various combinations of courses, information about Short Term and Certificate Courses and information about various specializations.
It was a fruitful session for the students and parents.
Bishop Scott Girls' School under the umbrella of Sri JagannathSita Educational and Social Development Sansthan organised Briskers Party (Freshers Party) on 30th June 2018 in the school campus to welcome grade 11 students.
The Freshers( grade 11) came beautifully dressed up and participated fully in all the programmethat were organised by grade 12.
Firstly the school Principal,Mrs Lindsy Dayalkumar welcomed all the students and wished them success for their future. Then the students introduced themselves one-by-one. They also enjoyed games like, Bombing the city, cricket match, balloon dance & balloon race etc.

Next the students of grade 11 participated in Miss Brisker contest. The students of grade 11 cat walked on the ramp in their beautiful gown and 5 girls was chosen for the second round for Miss. Brisker. It was nice to see the students answering the challenging questions posed. Alli of grade 11Bwas given the title of Miss. Briskes and Vaishnavi of grade of grade 11 B was crownedthe runners up.
Extreme heat did not dampen the spirits of these young girls as they were in full mood to enjoy their day.
The school had arranged for a tuck shop and children enjoyed the mouth watering savories and ice-cream.
At the end school Principal, Mrs. LindsyDayalkumarthanked the students of grade 12 especially the Student Council for organizing this function and said that such kind of programmes will be held from time-to-time which will energise the students and motivate them to study better.
The school had Special Assembly on Id on Saturday,23 June 2018. The students of grade IX B enthusiastically participated and conveyed the message. It was enjoyed by all and was informative.

An interactive session, Coffee with Principal for parents and students of grade 10 of Session 2017-18 was organised on 13.4.2018 at 4.00pm.The meeting was being convened to elicit the views of parents and students to make the grade 11 and 12 a meaningful tool to enable the students to lay the foundation. It was well appreciated by all in attendance.

Our students participated in 8th State Level Junior Basketball Tournament held at Nakhida Ramcharan Sports Training Centre. They were declared as the CHAMPIONS.
Bishop Scott Girls' School participated in East India Wado-Kai Karate Championship 2018. Utkarshini made us proud by winning first position and Arotrika Bardhan won third position.

Expression of Gratitude
On 1st May, 2018, our school celebrated Labour's Day to show our love and Gratitude towards our helpers. The program started with a prayer service followed by dances specially preaperd for showing gratitude.The program gave the message that every work is equal and important. The supporting staffs were falicitated with gifts and bouquets. Then the Directors and the Principal congratulated the workers and thanked them for their selfless service.They focused on the priceless contribution of the workers for the smooth functioning of the institution.
Workers were overwhelmed watching the function and expressed their gratitude towards the school management,teachers and students for their endeavour.
Bishop Scott Girls' School under the umbrella of Sri Jagannath Sita Educational and Social Development Sansthan held its Leadership Camp on Friday,11 May 2018.
Leadership camp is a new initiative to provide leadership development opportunities to large group of students. This program was organised for holistic development of the students.
Students had first Aid Training conducted by Dr. Patel,Red Cross Society and learnt the first aid tips. They enjoyed team building games and had a discussion on bullying. Further more the experiential and adventure based training approch and activities provided students with a rare opportunities to realise their leadership potentials and developed their competences outside the classroom.

The students from grade I to XII had an opportunity to have video conferencing on 7.7.2017 with the Celebrity, Dr.M.S.Swaminathan, Father of Indian Green Revolution and winner of Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan , Ramon Magsaysay, etc. Students posed questions on various issues for which he gave suitable replies and motivated them. Meet with Scientist
Selected students from our school participated in Meet the Scientist programme organised by Sri Krishna Science Centre, Patna on 15th July 2017 between 2.30-4.30 pm and got the opportunity to interact and take guidance from eminent scientist, Prof.(Dr) R.K. Sinha, VC, Nalanda Open University,Patna renowned as "Dolphin Man of India".
He shared his experience with the students and shared his experience, work and motivated the students towards building up an attitude for leading a successful life.

State Level Karate Championship
Ishita of 8 got gold medal, Janvi of grade 5 got silver medal and Tanisha of grade 10 won bronze medal in SGFI (state level) karate championships.
As part of Independence Day Celebrations, the student visited orphanages Bhoothnath and Padri Ki Haveli and distributed goodies, interacted with them and performed for them.It was a learning experience for the students.
Workshop on Classroom Management
A two day Workshop on classroom management was conducted on 25th; 26th of August 2017,at G.D.Goenka Public School situated in R.K.Puram,Patna,Bihar.The workshop was attended by 29 teachers hailing from various CBSE Schools of Bihar.Mr.V.Anand Kumar,Principal of D.A.V.,Begusarai and Mr.Abhishekh Kumar,Principal of D.P.S.,Gaya,were the resource peron who conducted the workshop.The workshop revolved around active discussions between the teachers and the resource persons.Teachers were introduced to various innovative methods for managing classrooms and how the best potential of students could be extracted by giving them congenial and friendly environment.The workshop addressed questions giving teachers various practical eye-opening strategies they could use for managing students physical and behavioural patterns.The teachers formed groups and participated in activities which helped us to understand the motive of the workshop in a practical manner.The workshop ended with sharing our experiences and what we imparted out of this workshop.
As part of Hindi Pakhawada Celebrations- 2017 organised by Patliputra Sahodhaya, Bishop Scott Girls' School organised Inter School Kavi Samelan on Wednesday ,30 August 2017 in the school premises. About 100 students from 13 different CBSE schools from Patna participated. It was nice to see students taking part in Kavi Samelan actively. Their efforts are to be appreciated. School Chairman Mr Shailesh Prasad Singh , Vice Chairman Mr Abhishek Kumar Singh , Director, PR Admin , Ms Nutan Singh ,Director Finance , Mr Achyut Singh and Principal, Mrs Lindsy Dayalkumar addressed the gathering. Teacher's Day Celebration-2017
The School Management Committee organised a grand programme on Tuesday, 5 September 2017 for all the three branches of Bishop Scott Schools in BSGSSS at 10.30 am. The venue was nicely decorated to welcome the teachers and Admin Staff.
The programme started with the Lighting of the Lamp by the members of the Managing Committee, Principals of all three branches and the Vice Principals.
Ms Jyotsna , Principal of BSGSSS welcomed and addressed the gathering.
The programme started with ice breakers, conducted by Ms Lindsy Dayalkumar, Principal, BSGS. The team enjoyed the games. After icebreakers the teams of all three branches participated in various fun games and won many prizes. The games were conducted by the Principals and the Management. The teachers and administration staff enjoyed the games.
Simultaneously starters were served and the team relished the same. After the games, the team had sumptuous lunch.
After lunch, as a token of appreciation, the Management felicitated the teachers and admin staff for their hard work. Also the members of the Managing Committee addressed the gathering, appreciated their hard work and motivated them.
The programme ended with the proposal of Vote of Thanks by Ms Anita Singh, Vice Principal, BSGSSS.
Workshop on 'Life Skill'
A workshop on 'Life skill' was a CBSE initiative and was conducted by Mr. Abhishek Kumar and Mr. Randhir Singh at RADIANT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL,Patna on 23.09.2017.
Four teachers Ms. Pratima Singh, Ms.Kritika Sinha, Kumari Deepshikha and Ms Ekta Srivastava from BISHOP SCOTT GIRLS' SCHOOL ,Patna attended the workshop.
At the outset, the teachers were handed a questionnaire. The resource person Mr Abhishek, Principal (DPS, Gaya) assisted the teachers to create awareness on various concepts of Life Skills (Emotional skills, Thinking skills and Social skills).
The aim was to assimilate and appreciate the importance of Life Skills through Self Awareness, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Interpersonal relationship, Effective Communication, Empathy, Managing Emotions, and Coping with Stress.
It was a great learning experience for all the teachers. Each life skill was dealt with personal and day-to-day examples.
The teachers actively participated in it.
The workshop was supported by PPT presentation..
It was a great attempt to make teachers understand the importance of life skill that would help them immensely in their personal and professional life.
The 7-hour workshop covered issues central to any student's life, like Effective Communication (Listening & Hearing), Social Skills, Positive Attitude, Setting Goals, and Time Management.
All these aspects were discussed with the help of activities, which was a fun- filled way to understand each of these.
This was followed by a session where the teachers were asked to pick up one life skill and conduct session with the other teachers.
Each group was given a activity to be discussed and then a representative from every group was asked to share it with the larger audience.
Every activity held relevance as it gave practical knowledge and hands on experience to the teachers on how to deal with diverse aspects.
Bishop Scott teachers got a chance to prepare an activity and give presentation on Communication skill.
We prepared an activity based on creative writing which was highly appreciated by the Principal, DPS Gaya, Mr. Abhishek Kumar.
The idea was to reflect upon their own ways of teaching life skills and how they can further improve it.
The interaction was informative as well as entertaining as it had a wide variety of interesting activities for teachers.
The concept of Life Skills was made clear with the help of some techniques that are used to enhance life skills in students.
The workshop was indeed an eye opener as it cleared doubts.

Field Trip and Fun Trips for students of grade 1 to 12
Bishop Scott Girls' School under the umbrella of Sri Jagannath Sita Educational and Social Development Sansthan organised Field Trip and Fun Trips for its students of grade 1 to 12.
This broke the monotony of regular classes and examinations.
When the students heard the announcement, they jumped in joy and started to plan for enjoyment.
Students of grade 1 to 5 had been to Patna Museum on 12 th and 13 th October 2017. They learnt about the history of Patna. It was a learning experience for them.
About 400 students of grade 6 to 8 went to Funtasia Water Park on 13th October 2017 and had a nice time with their friends and teachers. Beating the scorching heat, the children were seen enjoying the swimming in wave pool, enjoying the rain dance and screaming in delight as they were sliding from the tall rides.
About 360 students of grade 9 to 12 along with their teachers had been to Vaishali on 14 the October 2017.
It was a day of abundant fun and enjoyment for our students.
For, once academics and pressure of studies were forgotten as each and every moment was spent in sheer pleasure by our students.
The children enjoyed the delicacies from the cafeteria and rejoiced the trips.
The students adhered to the discipline code and instructions given to them.
The school feels that such fun filled days were needed to energize the students so that they can deal with the pressure of studies. The Principal promised that more such fun filled activities would be organized for them in future.
The students thanked the Management, Principal and the teachers for these fun filled days.

This programme was witnessed by the Managing Committee members Mr Shailesh Prasad Singh, Chairman, Bishop Scott Girls' School, Mr. Abhishek Kumar Singh,Chirman,Bishop Scott Boys' School,Mr. Achyut Singh ; Director,Finance,Bishop Scott Group of Schools,Ms. Nutan Singh, Director ,P.R Admin,Bishop Scott Group of Schools; Ms. Lindsy Dayalkumar , Principal , Teachers & Students.
The students did a lot of reference work assisted by the parents and teachers. The students raised many useful questions and gained knowledge through the replies given by Dr. Mylswamy Annaduri . He also motivated the students and gave message for the school and students. He wished the students success in all their endeavours. He advised the students to work hard; always they should be a step ahead of their peers ; their life should be a message to others; always get the blessings of father, mother & teacher; be the follower of Matha, Pitha, Guru and Deiyvam (Mother , Father , Teacher & God ) and preserve whatever they have.
It was a memorable experience to see even students from class I talking to Dr. Mylswamy Annaduri and getting inspiration. This was a new learning experience for everyone.
Childern's Day Celebration
Bishop Scott Girls' School had Children's Day celebrations on 14 th November 2017 ,where the teachers performed for the children.
On 14 th November 2017 , the students had a pleasant surprise on seeing their teachers dressed up for performance. The programme started with devotions by the Principal , Ms Lindsy Dayalkumar . It was followed by the address on Children's Day by Ms Stuti Sinha, Senior Teacher.
The students enjoyed and related themselves with the hilarious skit on class room scenario by thier own teachers. The teachers made the students to dance by their foot tapping dance numbers . There were solo singing by teachers which made everyone to swing.

Fun Fete 2017
It was a pleasant surprise to see Bishop Scott Girls' School transformed into a mini Wonderland. The school which excels in academics and discipline was buzzing with activities and the feel of the festive fervour and excitement was all over the air.
The occasion was gala Fun Fete organized in the School premises on Sunday, 19th Nov 2017 on a mammoth scale. Large number of people comprising of students, parents, family ,friends and well wishers attended the event. There were various stalls for exciting fun game ,multi cuisine for taste buds , rides, socio economic pavilions ,displays,promotional activities from reputed firms ,etc. DJ which was one of the major attractions of the event was the highest crowd puller. Many attractive prizes were won by the lucky winners in the Lucky Dip and Raffle Draw. The grand raffle draw was watched by many eager eyes, all hoping to be among the lucky few to win a prize.
One of the major attractions was the presence of RJ Ms Anjali, from 98.3FM to cover the programme LIVE. She has to her credit numerous fans addicted to her mesmerising voice, who were simply willing to have a glimpse of her.
The fete was inaugurated by the Management Committee members, Mr Shailesh Prasad Singh, Chairman, Bishop Scott Girls' School, Mr. Abhishek Kumar Singh,Chirman,Bishop Scott Boys' School,Mr. Achyut Singh ; Director,Finance,Bishop Scott Group of Schools,Ms. Nutan Singh, Director ,P.R Admin,Bishop Scott Group of Schools. The Principal, Mrs Lindsy Dayalkumar welcomed the guests. In-spite of the heavy crowd the team effort of Bishop Scott Girls School was quite evident as the gala event experienced its peak hour effortlessly.It was a grand success and the students enjoyed the day thoroughly.

Role Play Competition
Grade 2 to 5 had Role Play Competition on 16th December 2017. The students choose their own role and referred about the famous personality chosen. On 16th morning it was nice to see the students dressed up like famous personality and they spoke with confidence and they fought a healthy competition.
Interschool Indian International Model United Nations
Our school participated in International Model United Nations ,21 delegates from various schools participated in this two day MUN held on 16th and 17th December 2017. From our school 9 students participated. Swati of grade 11 C got Best Reporter and Sanjana , Preeti and Tanisha of grade 11C got special mention as second Best Verbal Mention and Second best speaker.
Spell Bee Competition
Our school has participated in National Final of WIZ National Spell Bee 2016-17 held at South City International School, Kolkata. More than 120 students from various schools of about 15 states participated in the mega event. Pragati Kumari of grade VII B was awarded ‘Certificate of Rank’ for securing 46th Rank in this Competition.

The school was colourfully decorated by students for Christmas . The school organised for class party and DJ. The students enjoyed.
3rd Naresh Chandra Sinha Memorial Day Sepaktakraw Tournament was held on 25 th December 2017 at Gulmohar Park, Kankadbagh, Patna . About 60 students from 12 schools participated. Shubhangi of grade X won gold medal and made us proud.
Annual Interschool Competition Connectnet organised at Taramandal by B.C.S.T, D.S.T & U.E.M
On 18.1.2018, students of Bishop Scott Girls'School participated in Connectnet 2018, Annual Interschool Competition organised at Taramandal by BCST . We participated in English Debate,Art , Maths Quiz, Photography and Science Model Competition.
Our students made us proud by winning second position in Debate Competition. They received Certificates trophy and a cash award of Rs 3000/-.
We also won third position in Science Model . They received trophy, certificate and cash award of Rs 2000/-. We qualified for final round for Maths Quiz. They received certificate of appreciation.
About 1200 students from 45 schools participated including D.P.S, St Michael, Notre dame, B.D public school, Tribhuvan, Usha Martin, Mount Carmel, Don Bosco Academy. Congratulations Sirs and Madam.
A Three Day Health Checkup
A three day health check up camp was organized at Bishop Scott Girls' School,Brahmpura,Patna from Tuesday 30th January 2018 onwards . It was done by Maa Guru Skill Development Center in collaboration with Metro Trauma Hospital, Khemnichak , Patna, wherein the school children were medically examined. There was a panel of doctors Dr Satish Kumar , Dr. Ratnesh Kumar & Dr. Ramjaipal Singh from Metro Trauma Hospital & also Dr Shalini Singh & Dr Pritam Raj from Metro Dental Clinic. They stressed upon the importance of maintaining healthy life style. Special focus was laid on dental hygiene & dietary habits.
Reminiscence- Farewell- Batch 2018
Bishop Scott Girls' School , Jaganpura bade farewell to the outgoing students of grade 12 at the Graduation Ceremony held in the school premises on Sunday, 11th February 2018 .
Reminiscence was the theme of the programme. In the morning the students of grade 11 organised a cultural programme, everyone assembled in the School Auditorium for dance, music, games etc. This was followed by a DJ session .The students danced to their heart's content to the music belted out by the DJ. Many were seen clicking pictures of friends and teachers- capturing memories of school for ever. The students enjoyed the sumptuous lunch.
This was followed by the Formal Programme , which was attended by the Managing Committee members Mr Shailesh Prasad Singh, Chairman Bishop Scott Girls' School; Mr. Abhishek Kumar Singh , Chairman, Bishop Scott Boys' School; Mr Achyut Singh, Director, Bishop Scott Group of Schools, Ms Nutan Singh, Director, Bishop Scott Group of Schools, Principal Mrs Lindsy Dayalkumar , parents, teachers and students.
It commenced with the welcome address by the Principal.
The symbolic passing of responsibility was witnessed as the Council members of the outgoing batch handed over their batons to the successors.
This was followed by the candle light ceremony to symbolise the spreading of light of knowledge to dispel darkness.
The outgoing students also pledged that in all their actions they will bring glory to their family, to the school and to the Nation. School principal Mrs Lindsy Dayalkumar administered the oath.
The members of the Management addressed and blessed the students. The Principal stressed the importance of hard work and shared the secrets to make one's dreams a reality.
The class teachers of the outgoing batch Mr. Ravi Rohatgi, Mr Deepak Raj ,Dr. Moushmi and parent representatives Mr Anand Mohan Sharma F/o-Deepshikha Sharma addressed and motivated the students.
Ritika Rani, School Head Girl travelled down and recollected her memories in Bishop Scott.
Thus ended a beautiful evening marked with both happiness and sorrow.
3D movie session for Grade 1 to 5
To break the monotony from studies , revisions and tests, it was decided to have a 3D movie session for students of grade 1 to 5 in collaboration with Pillara Entertainment. The students were excited when they were informed about this. It was the talk of the tiny tots during their break time and free time. They watched the following movies in the school auditorium on 12.2.2018 :

The students enjoyed when the animals appear to come to them .It was nice to see them screaming and enjoying. It was a lovely experience for the students,as it was an entertaining and enriching session. The movie ended with a happy note , leaving a big smile on every one's face. They also learnt about 3D movie, they expressed themselves saying this was their best experience so far.
